Meet the Carter family!
Before their little family added a precious little boy, Mom really wanted to document the last few moments they were still a family of three.
I was so excited to capture these precious moments for them!
The Design Consultation
Since the backdrop of these photos would be lush with greenery, we decided to really lean into a lighter color palette-- true whites, cream, ivory, and a touch of beige.
Tamira wanted the best of both worlds in a dress-- fitted at the bump but still flowy-- so we opted for a trumpet-style white dress. I loved this idea-- and the long train added such stunning movement and dynamic!
The Session
I always love to start my sessions with classic / smiling photos because it's really the only time toddlers will be naturally attentive to the camera. We got those classic shots checked off, and then it was time for a few playful poses with their little guy!
Walking shots, bouncing him around, giving him hugs and kisses-- you could tell he felt so loved by the end of it!
The last moments of a family session are my favorite-- everyone is calm after a bit of play, and can relax and melt into one another for cuddles.
The Gallery Reveal
It was so fun getting to show the Carters their family photos! Tamira's first response-- "WOW."
First, you watch a cinematic slideshow of your gallery where you get to kick back and purely enjoy your photos. Then, we go through together and thoughtfully choose favorites and determine which photos will go on the wall. We were able to widdle it down to 20 images and they were so happy with the final result!
There's only so much time to document one life stage before the next creates a whole new chapter for your family.
